Day 10 – Thursday, July 28

Thursday July 28

The bus came to a halt at the end of Gustavo’s lane at 10:30 Wednesday night thus ending the southern tour. As the weary choir members trundled in the lane, they carried great burdens of suitcases, boxes, ironing boards, uniforms, snack boxes, backpacks and water jugs. Very few alarms were set when we crawled into bed that night.

The Thursday morning came and the rising time varied as the only deadline was 10:30 brunch. Today was a rest day! A much needed rest day. Well that is to say, for us choir members it was a rest day.

A huge thank you and round of applause to Lizzie, Kristin, and Curt for doing all of our mounds of laundry! The trunk of the van was stacked high with 26 choir members worth of clothes. Every one gratefully received their laundry.

The day was taken at leisure. Corn hole, spike-ball, naps, walks, reading, snacking, studying music, and other relaxing activities took up our day.

Oh yes and some happy news for a few choir members, their luggage arrived!! Finally after almost two weeks in Poland, many long phone calls, the lost has come home!!

After a delicious supper, Matt ( our northern tour director) gave us a run down of what the upcoming days would be like. We look forward to our next tour starting on Saturday!
