Saturday-August 11

What a cool, refreshing morning it was as we packed up in Bus#5 to begin our second tour.  Our first driver, Andrze, came to Gustovs to say good bye to us.  Quite a switch from the reserved man of the past!  Both Magde Winnik and Adam Kleczkowski have joined us for this tour.

We pulled out of Gustovs at 8:00am-this time heading north.  After Lloyd’s thought provoking words of wisdom, we had a 2 hour quiet time! J

The driver needed to stop for an hour break at 11:00.  Somehow a 20min wait for a pizza turned into 40min.  Then…at roll call time, the last of the pizza was being devoured outside the bus.

We arrived in Janikowo at 2:00.  We ate lunch and prepared for the evening at a building near the church.

It was exciting to return to a church we had visited in 2010.  This building had been a church, but during the war, it was used as a warehouse.  For years afterwards it was a drug hang out.  Praise the Lord!  It is now a church again!

We had our prayer/share time in the bus.  We were encouraged to let both Lloyd’s comments and the words of the songs sink into our minds as if it were the first time we are hearing them.

The acoustics in the church were a joy after several harder programs.  Another joy was hearing the men sing, “We shall walk thru the Valley in Peace”, for the first time!

We had good connection times with people after the service.  Some received soft wetness on their cheeks or hands. J

The church provided supper for us at the place of our lodging.  Some folks were privileged to go to homes for the night, but the rest of us camped out in the dorms.  What a treat!  The beds were ready and waiting for us!
