Today started off bright and early. We hopped on the bus all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed at 7:45 a.m. We arrived at the church for our final concert around 9. As the band practiced for the morning worship service, we warmed up our voices outdoors. The church had their full service, then we gave our program as their second service. They served us a delicious meal while we interacted with some of the locals. I enjoyed a delightful conversation with a dear 80-year-old lady, Jadwiga. During our conversation about her family, she mentioned that she takes care of her 99-year-old neighbor, who was also at our program.
At 2:00, we began our journey back to the seminary to continue recording. Our goal was to finish at least 3 songs before dinner, but everything went so well that we finished everything by 7:30.
Now, to enjoy the evening and looking forward to a full day of rest tomorrow.
….and so Hope Singers 2024 comes to a close.
